DESCRIPTION
The RTC6661 power amplifier (PA) is designed to operate in 2.4GHz ISM band, compatible with 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN system with high power, high gain and high PAE. The Amplifier consists of 2 power stages with input matching, inter-stage matching, build-in trap filter to reject local leakage and a power detector for close loop power control operation. For 19dBm OFDM output power (64QAM, 54Mbps), the PA provides a low EVM (Error-Vector Magnitude) of 3%, and consumes 140mA total DC current. Power gain of 29dB is obtained with a low quiescent current of 80mA.
The device is packaged in a tiny industry-standard 12-lead surface mount package XQFN12 2mmx2mm.
