DESCRIPTION
The RTC6693H power amplifier (PA) is designed to operate in 2.4 ~ 2.5GHz frequency range, compatible with 802.11b/g wireless LAN system in 2.4GHz ISM band with high power, high gain and high PAE. The amplifier consists of 2 power stages with input matching, inter-stage matching, build-in trap filter to reject local leakage and a power detector for close loop power control operation. For 19.5dBm OFDM output power (64QAM, 54Mbps), the PA provides a low EVM (Error-Vector Magnitude) of 3%, and consumes 145mA total DC current. Power gain of 29dB is obtained with a low quiescent current of 95mA. RTC6693H is pin to pin compatible with RTC6693.
The device is packaged in a tiny industry-standard 16-lead surface mount package QFN16 3mmx3mm.
