DESCRIPTION
The RTC6665 power amplifier is designed to operate in 2.4 GHz ISM band, compatible with 802.11b/g wireless LAN system. The Amplifier consists of 2 power stages with input matching, inter-stage matching, build-in 1.6 GHz trap filter to reject local leakage and a power detector for close loop power control operation. For 18 dBm OFDM output power (64QAM, 54Mbps), the PA provides a low EVM (Error-Vector Magnitude) of 3%, and consumes 115 mA total DC current. Power gain of 26 dB is obtained with a low quiescent current of 85 mA.
The device is packaged in a tiny industry-standard 8-lead surface mount package QFN 2mm x 2mm x 0.45mm.
